Meritto Unveils Integrated Mio AI Voice Agents to Transform Education Engagement

Posted on December 18, 2025 By Startup Gatha No Comments on Meritto Unveils Integrated Mio AI Voice Agents to Transform Education Engagement

Bengaluru, Meritto, an AI-powered enrollment and education CRM platform, has launched Mio AI Voice, an autonomous AI voice agent aimed at improving student engagement and enrollment efficiency for educational institutions.

The announcement was made at the Bengaluru edition of #EvolveByMeritto, an industry event that brought together leaders from K-12 schools, higher education institutions, coaching centres, and EdTech companies to discuss the growing role of artificial intelligence in admissions and student outreach.

Mio AI Voice is designed to address a common operational challenge faced by educational institutions — delayed follow-ups and low connect rates during the admissions cycle. With rising inquiry volumes, many institutions struggle to respond to prospective students in time, leading to missed enrollment opportunities.

The AI voice agent is integrated directly into Meritto’s existing product suite, including its Enrollment Cloud and Education CRM. It operates as an always-on calling assistant that can initiate outbound calls, understand student context, and conduct structured conversations without manual intervention.

According to the company, Mio AI Voice can read student data in real time, adapt conversations based on the course or program of interest, and respond to sentiment cues during calls. Each interaction results in structured outputs such as CRM updates, lead stage movement, and scheduled follow-ups, helping institutions maintain consistent engagement across large inquiry volumes.

The launch builds on Meritto’s broader AI capabilities, including Mio AI Guide, which supports students across multiple touchpoints in the admissions journey, from initial website queries to application completion and decision-making stages.

Commenting on the launch, Meritto Founder and CEO Naveen Goyal said that artificial intelligence has moved beyond experimentation in the education sector and is now central to student experience and institutional competitiveness. He noted that AI already plays a role in shaping student decisions and is becoming foundational to how institutions engage with prospects.

Suraj Sapra, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Meritto, said Mio AI Voice is designed to go beyond basic automated calling. He explained that the AI agent is built on institutional CRM data, understands the student journey, and is designed to drive conversations toward meaningful outcomes rather than scripted responses.

The company said the launch reflects growing demand for AI-driven automation in education, as institutions face increasing expectations from digitally native students along with rising compliance and data management requirements.

Meritto currently works with more than 1,000 educational institutions across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, offering AI-driven solutions for enrollment management, student engagement, and operational efficiency.
