  • Sarvam AI
    • Founders: Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar
    • Overview: Established in July 2024, Sarvam AI focuses on developing large language models tailored for Indian languages, aiming to bridge linguistic gaps in AI applications. The company recently secured $41 million in funding to advance its mission. 
  • Krutrim
    • Overview: Krutrim is dedicated to creating AI tools that cater specifically to Indian businesses, emphasizing the development of indigenous AI solutions. The startup is gaining recognition for its efforts to adapt AI technologies to India’s unique market needs.
  • Jivi
    • Overview: Jivi leverages AI to assist in medical diagnoses, treatments, and administrative tasks, aiming to enhance healthcare delivery. Notably, it attracted investment from AI Fund, marking the fund’s first venture into the Indian market. 
  • Perplexity AI
    • Founder: Aravind Srinivas
    • Overview: Perplexity AI is an AI-powered search engine that provides direct answers to complex queries. The company gained attention in January 2024 after raising significant capital to expand its offerings.
  • MathCo
    • Founders: Sayandeb Banerjee, Aditya Kumbakonam, and Anuj Krishna
    • Overview: MathCo is an AI and data analytics firm that assists enterprises worldwide in making data-driven decisions. The company has expanded its global footprint and integrated generative AI features into its proprietary platform, NucliOS. 

These startups exemplify India’s growing prominence in the global AI arena, addressing diverse challenges across healthcare, language processing, and enterprise solutions. Their innovative approaches and technological advancements are positioning India as a key player in the AI industry.
